It is specifically designed to be a luxury Megacar alternative to Koenigsegg’s traditional extreme, light weight, race-like road cars.

The Regera is a Powerful Twin-Turbo V8 combustion engine with 3 electric motors and cutting edge Battery power via a new powertrain technology. This revolutionary technology removes the traditional gearbox,which makes the car more lighter and more efficient.

The Koenigsegg Regera continues it’s tradition with an innovative technology which blends the out rageous speed with supreme comfort, and a unique Automatic Drive experience.

A new level of luxury

The Automatic Drive transmission of Koenigsegg Regera delivers blistering performance, while at the same time offering one of the smoothest driving experience.


They have developed a new rear sub frame that allows the engine and transmission to rest on active soft mounts. When driving in normal conditions, the mounts stay soft and isolate the engine noise and vibrations. During spirinted driving, the mounts firm up to solidify the car and give greater response.

The first fully robotized car

The Regera is the only first car in the world that operates all body closures completely automatically with a touch button. We call this system ‘Autoskin’.


Koenigsegg has managed to robotize the entire Regera with almost zero weight penalty, thanks to the latest advances in compact light weight hydraulic technology. The Autoskin hydraulics replaces gas struts of similar weight, Which is resulting in minimum weight impact.


The Autoskin feature is a soft-closing mechanism, giving the Regera a sofesticated feel. The fully robotized body system of this car adds more 5 kg to the total weight of the car, making full robotization a very desirable option in it.

All openings and wing mirrors are fitted with proximity sensors to safeguard the car against the doors striking the nearby objects (curb, low roof, etc) while opening or closing the doors.

Revisiting the sound of another era

The Regera has a custom designed and tuned the titanium exhaust system and developed it in conjunction with exhaust specialists and partners, Akrapovic. The unique exhaust system includes a fish tail outlet which is designed by a Christian, a design that has not been seen on production cars for at least half a century –bringing back the sound performance of cars from the past!
